Exit Devices | Panic Bars

Armor Lock & Security sells, installs and services all makes and models of exit devices (also known as Panic Bars). Exit Bars are mounted on the egress side of the door, some installations provide a way to enter from the outside via a key (panic bar outside trim) and other installations do not. Exit devices are often required by code on doors leading to spaces with large occupancy (examples are offices, churches, gyms, etc.).

Mounting exit devices (panic bars) should only be performed by trained professionals. Exit Devices must be maintained properly at regular intervals to ensure they provide safe and reliable action when needed. Exit Devices (also called Crash Bars) are a critical part of Fire & Life Safety, as such you need to know the rules surrounding their use and installation. Fire & Life Safety is a very serious issue that must be considered with every installation. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) establishes the codes locksmiths and other door hardware installers follow regarding installation and use of Exit Device hardware.

Exit Devices have several different mounting options:

Rim

Mortise

Vertical Surface Mount

Vertical Concealed Mount
